The Journey Behind With Love, Maysha
I have always wanted to be a part of weddings. For a long time, I searched for the right path to get there. Photography crossed my mind, but I quickly realized I am much better behind a selfie camera than a professional one. Event planning seemed like an option, but I knew I couldn't dedicate the time required to truly excel.
Becoming an officiant was a recurring thought, but I had my reservations. I didn't see many officiants who looked like me or represented my experience, and because of that, the dream felt just out of reach.
Then, I met the officiant who married my wife and me. She introduced me to an approach rooted in unity, inclusivity, and respect for all belief systems. I knew instantly that this was something I could wholeheartedly embrace.
I took a leap of faith, and now I have the privilege of doing something I truly love — helping couples create heartfelt ceremonies they will cherish for years to come. Every love story is unique, and it is an honour to play a small part in such a meaningful chapter of their lives.
